Well, I will say that I am glad that it did not work out as intended, despite the resulting mess.
[A non-exploded Karkat is a good Karkat.]
And you got closure on your feelings, hopefully mending any rifts between you and Hinata that have resulted from keeping them a secret. I consider this to be a better result overall. Moving on, I recently received an item from the tree that I would like to get your opinion on.
[Kanaya stands up to grab the gold framed painting from the corner of her room. It's hard to see what is on it until the troll sits down and flips it back around. That sure is an immaculate painting of one Enoshima Junko. Based on the plaque, it's titled "Girl with the Bear Hairpin".]
While the work is impeccable in quality, I am more interested in the person depicted in it. Her hairpins bear a striking resemblance to a certain monochrome bear, so I hope it is not presumptuous of me to assume that she is involved in what happened in your world?
Ah... yes! The mastermind of the second Mutual Killing Game. From what I understand she's dead. But, I only know what the one article about the survivors of that game said. Hinata kun could tell you more though.
[And probably have a small heart attack at the sight of it.]
[Poor Hinata. Kanaya doesn't mean to cause him so many heart attacks.]
So there were two total then? while I have learned some about this from you and Hinata, I haven't had it explained in full yet. If it is acceptable, I admit that I am quite curious about it.
There were at least two before ours. But, the information is a little lacking. five student survived the previous one, and one student survived the one before.
Though... that one the information I had was definitely misleading.
[He pauses a moment, and as much as he isn't against sharing the information or freely talking about all of that stuff, he's not sure if he should really talk about Hinata and what he has gleamed of that time.]
It's hard to say, and... it involves Hinata kun. He really knows more about all of that than I do, I just know that my original assumptions are wrong.

Oh? What exactly about the information was misleading?
